what is aspirin and what are the indications of aspirin

 Aspirin is an NSAID ( non - steroidal anti inflammatory drug). it has analgesic, antithrombic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory activities.

 it was synthesized in1853 but it was not in use till 1899. Because of its greater efficacy and lower cost, it quickly replaced the natural products that people used at that time.



Indications:

Aspirin is indicated in conditions for example fever, coronary bypass surgery, headache, inflammation, unstable angina, myocardial infarction, mild to moderate pain, pyrexia, stroke prophylaxis, as an alternative drug of choice in arterial thromboembolism prophylaxis, arthritis, osteoarthritis.
